Even in the depths....

..Of anger and dejection, I manage to harbor some narcissism. I even think I ruined the pen I was using to make this drawing.

Why, look at this little fellow. Where do you suppose he's headed? To the land of the Ngnorry's perhaps?

Nobody likes him but me.....

He is not welcomed outside the masses,
and he was condemned by all my classes.
The portrait I drew was berated,
with no thought to the love that created,
the symbol of something so hated.
I chose to endure and thus waited,
but to no avail I sat in shame.
I have since then chosen to tame,
my love for he with no name.

I like making things by myself. Typically, I don't want anybody else's pencil within several yards of my sketchbook. Although, as you can see,
there are exceptions.

There's good reason for it, too. Sometimes, there's nothing greater than the opportunity to work with a great companion.

Robodiotron 9007.5

Now who is this lovely lady?
Is it an explorer? Do explorers wear dresses like that? I hope they do!

I happen to think this site is a wonderful resource. I love having access to works that I most likely wouldn't have available to me otherwise.

Look at this guy. He seems frightened; but of what exactly? The gesture appears almost mechanical.
Also there is a flasher-like quality to his expression.
But in reality he is a just a goof.

There are several types of goofs:

  • Somebody or something from the filmcrew is in the picture (e.g., camera and cameraman is reflected in a mirror, or the microphone is visible).
  • Chronological or conditional errors (e.g. a cigarette getting longer with the next scene, or a bruise wandering from the left to right leg).
  • Historical inaccuracies and anachronisms (e.g., an HDTV set in a film set in the 1970s).

Goofs can be found in a large number of films, even in very expensive productions.

Nothing like a ball point pen to ruin Joseph Ratzinger

Especially if you are drawing his picture in the middle of an emergency room. Those ball point pens can ruin a good drawing in seconds by regurgitating a minuscule puddle of ink into whatever portion of your drawing you may be working on.
I also found this:

I've been squandering a little bit more time than I prefer on the internet lately. Today, I discovered information about the Sedlec Ossuary. Some may consider me silly for saying so, but I wouldn't mind returning to the Czech Republic to visit this Chapel one day.

I found this website and thought it was interesting in a kitschy way.

My drawing to the right has absolutely nothing to do with it though.

The bumbling of little beetles

"Here come I, the death-watch beetle
Chewing away at the great cathedral"

This is not a death-watch beetle, but never mind that. I've often wished that I also possessed a hardened shell not unlike this fellow.

excerpt from John Heath-Stubbs

Another night another wushta....

Has this painting truly been sold or is this just another chapter in the growing collection of my own work. No! Actually it has been sold and in a more finished state no less.
